Online radio stations provide a great way to listen to music and other programming from all over the world. Whatever your musical tastes, you’re sure to be able to find a station that plays the bands you like, and if you’re more interested in sport or talk radio, there is plenty of choice in this area too. Rather than browsing through endless web sites as you skip from one station to another, why not try a dedicated online radio app? One such app is TapinRadio.
A search facility is available so you can search for stations that you already know the name of, but you can also look for stations that fall into a particular genre. As results are likely to be lengthy, stations can be further filter by category, country or network. For easier access, the stations you like can be added to a list of favorites and you can also browse through your listening history if you forget to bookmark a station.
TapinRadio may be great to use, but it is far from being the most attractive program ever to be released. The interface is extremely outdated in appearance, but do not let this distract you from the wonderful ease of use. The application also provides you with the ability to record the stations you are listening to, or even schedule recordings – a great option if you are listening to foreign stations and need to take the time difference into account – and you can also opt to automatically split recordings into a number of individual tracks.
The software can be installed as a portable app so you can take it with you as you move from one computer to another. It is worth noting that by default the program will attempt to install a browser toolbar and to change your browser home page and search engine. If you would prefer that this did not happen, take care to select the Custom Installation option and untick the three options beneath this before continuing as normal.
