Game Fire
Optimise your PC for the best gaming performance. Maybe.

Game Fire is a suite of tools tool that aims to optimise your PC for performance.

The program uses multiple techniques to make this happen, including optimising system RAM, turning off unnecessary services and background processes, temporarily disabling CPU-intensive visual effects, and more.

A Games Defragment tool may also help by defragging the files and folders in your game folder (other files are left untouched, so it's much faster than a regular defrag).

While this sounds like it might be complicated, it really isn't. Essentially you just need to set up a "gaming profile", which tells Game Fire exactly which of these options you'd like to employ, and then it's able to apply all your chosen settings at a click.

Please note, the free build contains many settings and tools which are only available in the $24.95 version. This includes real-time performance optimisations, a host of tweaks in the Game "Adviser", internet and network tuneup, automatic services and third-party optimisations, and more.

Version 5.0 brings:

1. Game Fire 5 now officially supports Microsoft Windows 10 including the 64-bit version. Also Windows XP support was dropped as Game Fire 5 uses advanced programming APIs which are not available in Windows XP.

2. The new release of Game Fire introduces a new optimization engine, which is fast, reliable and customizable.

3. My Games feature received several improvements like the ability to edit games information, the customization of game thumbnail, the ability to import default games shipped with Microsoft Windows and improved games search and sorting.

4. Improved the listing of running processes in Applications section with new tools to facilitate their management.

5. Hardware temperature detection was improved with the addition of a new option to notify you when a certain hardware temperature exceed a value you specify, that can help protect your hardware from damage due to overheat.

6. New system tweaks were added to Game Adviser in order to help you squeeze extra performance from your system.

7. Live Gaming Mode feature was replaced with Live Optimization which can efficiently boost system and apps performance in real-time by automatically focusing computer resources on applications you working with or games you are playing.

8. Diagnostic Report is a new feature introduced for experienced users who which to get detailed information about computer hardware and system configuration. This information can help diagnose and fix performance and reliability problems.

9. Game Fire now comes with predefined gaming profiles with improved UI and organization.

10. Game Fire UI received major updates including better support for high DPI settings and support for high screen resolutions.

11. Optimized software internal architecture for faster startup and better reliability with better error handling and reporting capabilities.

12. Fixed several bugs which prevented Game Fire from playing nice with Windows User Account Control (UAC).

Verdict:

Game Fire offers plenty of optimisation features. We're not sure how useful some of them will be, but if you're desperate to squeeze more performance out of your PC then it might be worth a try.

Windows 10 May 2019 Update ISO (build 1903)

Free Full Commercial Software

This is the latest version of Windows May 2019 Update. it's a media creation tool that can be used to upgrade an existing installation of Windows or create installation media for another PC. Just make your choice after launching the tool and it'll do the rest.

What was new in Windows 10, when it was released? The OS brought back the Start Menu, though with a twist: live tiles keep you up-to-date with the latest news while also providing an easy way to launch apps. (Don't worry if you prefer the Start Screen, it's still there and you can boot into it if you prefer.)

Apps now work much more like regular desktop programs. They have minimise, maximise, restore and close buttons, and can be resized (to a degree) and organised however you like.

If you've still lost track of a program in the mass of open windows, a new Task Spaces feature can help. Click its taskbar button and you'll see thumbnails for everything running now, a little like OS X's Mission Control - just click something to switch to it.

Better still, Task Spaces also supports virtual desktops. Add extra desktops as required and it'll display thumbnails of each one, making it easy to identify whatever you're after and switch to it.

There's also smarter snapping, new customisation options, and even a bunch of experimental additions to the command prompt.

May 2019 Update brings a whole host of new features for Windows 10. See the Microsoft Blog for more information.

The Windows 10 ISO will give you build 1903 which is the May 2019 Update.
