Fix-It Utilities 10 Professional is a comprehensive suite of tools for cleaning, optimising, securing and managing your PC.

You get all the features you'd expect in this kind of program. So there are modules to clean and defrag your Registry, delete redundant files, optimise your internet connection, speed up Windows, take control of your Startup programs, undelete files, or shred others so they can't be recovered.

That's just the beginning, though. The Fix-It Utilities 10 Professional also include a complete disaster recovery system. This lets you create snapshots of important system data, so you can restore them later if your drive becomes corrupted. There's even the option to create a bootable rescue CD: if Windows won't start, launch this instead and your system could soon be back in full working order.

The authors have also thrown in an antivirus module, powered by Sunbelt Software's antimalware service, which quickly scans your PC, detecting and removing viruses and spyware. (Although the program recommends that you remove other antivirus tools before installing this one, so you can't simply use it as a second line of defence.)

And while some of the modules are rather basic, others some packed with useful functions and features. Not only does Startup Commander list all your startup programs and Windows services, for instance, it also offers advice on which ones can be disabled, very handy if you're looking to optimise performance.
