Ashampoo Virus QuickScan Free is a portable, fast and free antivirus tool which will quickly scan your PC's system areas for potential threats.
There are no complicated settings to consider, and the program doesn't come with real-time protection which might conflict with your current antivirus package. All you have to do is launch Ashampoo Virus QuickScan Free, click the Scan button, then wait for the results. Which won't take long, typically only around a minute.
One reason the program is so quick, though, is that it only checks the most commonly infected areas of your system, so you can't rely on its results entirely.
What's more, the program will only remove the first 5 malware traces that it finds, recommending that you install Ashampoo's commercial antivirus solution, Ashampoo Anti-Malware, to eliminate the rest.
